The River Raiders made the trek to Balranald last Saturday & for the Seniors it was a case of "Close but No Cigar", however for the Ressy's and Colts it was better news as they both registered very good wins. Congrats. to young Nick Frankling on playing his senior game with the Raiders, a great effort by Nick. Nick is one of several youngsters the Raiders have blooded this year so not only does his future look good but the Raiders does to with all these kids coming through. We now have finals footy on the agenda for the Under 14's, Colts and Reserves, a bloody good achievement for the Raiders!. Don't forget Part 2 of our Goods and Services Auction will take place this weekend, it is totally an ONLINE auction with some very good items up for bidding!. Onto the footy and the Seniors, well how good were they, they really put it up to a team who are looking to sneak into the finals, at the final change we had our nose in front and although we were kicking against the wind in the last qtr. confidence was high. Unforunately things didn't go our way but the team can be very proud of their efforts. Once again we were missing a couple of important players in Kye and Wazza which didn't help our cause!

Awards went to that man again, yes, Mr. Smooth Jack Shannon (Raiders Man of the Day), Reagan Hamilton (Royal Hotel Barham), Reggie had thee task of controlling their full forward and he did an excellent job!. Paddy Goble (Barham Hotel), good all round game from Paddy who tried very hard to get us over the line, and Owen Uaongo (Nthn Tree Fellas), big Owey played his best game for us here and good to see him get through!. Others to play well were Max Baldissera and Tom Amor. Once again many thanks to Jasper Wilson-Keir, Will Lake, Josh Mc Mahon, Lachy Laursen and Nick Frankling for doubling up on the day.

The Ressy's continued on with their winning form to finally secure their place in the Elimination Final in a few weeks, now if that is not enough incentive to get on the training track then I don't know what is!. Awards went to Todd Frankling (Wes Hare Spraying Services “Scooby of the Day”), Jono Amor (Royal Hotel Barham), Ash Matuch (Barham Hotel), and Ash Molin (Raiders Canteen award). 

The Colts had a pretty easy win to secure the double chance and will now play in the Qualifying Final, with a lot of the boys not having to double up come finals time I think we can expect them to go deep into the finals.

Awards went to Will Lake (Royal Hotel Barham), Mason Laursen (Don Taylor Pen), Jye Mc Gowan (Lanes Elect. Socks), both Jye and Mason also filled in the Ressy's so well done boys, Josh Mc Mahon (Wilma Bott Canteen), and Coaches awards went to Nathaniel Leonard and Ryan Bassett.

Another big social function after this weeks home game, it's "Pluck A Duck", thankfully no typo error there, but it should be another great night organised by the Social Comm. For more details hop onto the Raiders website and you will see how it works.

So we don't have to sing "On the Road Again" for a while now as we return to Raiders Central this weekend to welcome Tooley-Manang. Hopefully we can get a full complement of players in all teams on the paddock this weekend.
