Netball
U12’s
A terrific team effort by the under 12s this week winning 30-3. Awards this week went to Tara for her consistency in the mid court and Ella for her shooting accuracy.
U14’s
The Under 14s had all girls back for the first time in weeks and played a fantastic team game.
Awards went to Elahna Porter and Willow Conlan
U16’s
Under 16’s had a loss against Lalbert but despite that the girls were able to come together and play one of their best games for the season. Awards went to Giann Delmenico, Miley Keam and Deja Stacey who all smashed it in defence for 4 solid quarters
U18’s
The girls played 4 quarters of consistent netball to earn themselves a well-deserved win. The defensive pressure displayed all over the court earns them many turn overs that they were able to convert into goals. It was a great team effort. Awards went to Luca Treeweek, Hayley Hovendon and amity Reed.
B res
Bres girls came through with another win today. Today’s focus was to bring it back to basics and to do it well which the girls executed well. 53 - 6 by end time and 2 best on court were Lacey Taylor and Bridgette Zucco.
B Grade
B grade had a amazing game, despite the final score they gave it all they could, with Tenay and Melinda getting best on with consistent pressure down the court and not giving up!
A Res
A Res had a tough game, despite the final score, all the girls gave it their best.Best on court to our new defender Georgi Kelly and after a few weeks off Annie Stiecke another best on hardly missing a shot. Well done girls!
A Grade
Coming back after 3 weeks off the A grade girls knew they would have a tough battle against top spot Mallee Eagles. Unfortunately we went down by 9 in the end, however a major improvement from last time we played them.
Best players were all 3 young guns on the court: Ava Crow, Zoe Steicke and Emily Free.
Football
U12’s
The game I was looking forward to the most to see how much we had developed- and I wasn’t disappointed.
Luca Zucco had a standout performance, followed closely by Leo Kim.
Well done to Dakota who played her best game, Ryann kicked his first goal in football, Hunter worked hard all day.
Under 14.5
Last week we went out against a higher placed Mallee Eagles team, our boys started slowly for the first half and after a bit of a rev up and a few changes everyone put in a top effort to make a real competitive second half.Best Players: Mitch Bannam, Ollie Alderruccio, Elwood Stacey, Eddie Ward, Jed Young & Jack Keegan
Colts
The Colts boys played well for 3 quarters on Saturday but a slow start meant the Mallee Eagles got the jump on them in the first putting on five goals to none. After the 1st change although the game was even.
Best Players: Charlie King, Tahj Bolton, Hugh Thompson, Jamie Matthews, Noah Starrs & Otto Conlan
Reserves
Round 14 and we are at home hosting the Mallee Eagles. The boys came out strong and dominated the game from the first bounce and ran away with a 113 point win.
Best: Scrapper, Nooch, Skidda, Jordy, Gammo, Isma
Seniors
Our seniors continued to win the games they need to so they can stay in the hunt for the all important top three position. Patty V put on a bit of a show and kicked some great goals, however what could’ve been for him was a full bag. Mitch Taylor found his feet in his first game at the Den and our onballers, Arnie, Jye, Robbie & Vesty were fantastic all day.
Bets Players: Patty V, Jye, Robbi, Stewie, Mitch Taylor and Matty G
