After a couple of weeks off, we are back into the footy and netball this week when we host the Kerang Football & Netball Club.
Our last game against Swan Hill saw us compete for the Boofa Templeton Cup. It is a very fitting way to celebrate the contribution of a great person to both clubs. Unfortunately, we were unable to bring the trophy home with us this time. 

FOOTBALL RESULTS
Seniors:
NNWU 12.10.82 defeated Swan Hill 9.7.61
In what was an arm wrestle for the whole game, the Seniors stuck at their task all day until they were able to break away in the last quarter to record a pleasing win.
While it was a very pleasing win, we have a challenge ahead of us this week as we come up against the best team in the league. We need to believe in ourselves to give us the best chance to win.
Best players: Corey Daniels, Blake Larkings, Brady Davidson, Cal Dobbin, Joel Campbell, Brent Arho. 
Specialised Fitness Award: Joel Campbell.

Reserves:
NNWU 8.8.56 defeated Swan Hill 5.7.37
The Reserves got off to a good start and controlled much of the game, until the last quarter when Swan Hill kicked a few goals. Fortunately we were able to hang on to record another good win.

Colts:
NNWU 6.9.45 defeated by Swan Hill 9.10.64
The Colts came up against a side well matched up to them. While it was close for much of the game, the Colts couldn’t get in front and ended up going down.

Under 14.5:
NNWU 0.0.0 defeated by Swan Hill 10.6.60
While the scoreboard might not reflect it, the Under 14.5’s played some good football against the best team in the competition.

Our youngest footballers struggled against a bigger Swan Hill side, but battled away all day.

SOCIAL NEWS
It was great to see so many people involved in the Sunday Funday held at the Club a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a successful day.
