ROUND  11 Versus Tooleybuc Manang 
It was a beautiful day for sport at the Lalbert Rec Reserve. Congratulations to Charlie Kingwill who played in the Northern Country Carnival on June 29th. He played in all 3 games and put in a strong performance in the ruck. 

SOCIAL EVENTS-I-Pong Shuffle Night and The Mallee Eagles Ball
 Our Ball is on tonight after the Swan Hill Game and we have over 115 attending so it should be a great celebration.
We are really looking forward to our XMAS in JULY after the NYAH Game on Sat July 16th. Dust off your Xmas attire and get festive.

Ladies Day- We donated $3200 to Swan Hill Cancer Services which is a wonderful amount that will make a difference in many lives of people going through cancer treatment in our local area. Thanks to all who donated.

FOOTBALL:
Our seniors won by 35 points. Coach Harry said that the boys put in a hard fought effort for 4 quarters. We eventually gave ourselves a bit of breathing space to run away with the game and get the 4 points we desperately needed to stay in touch with the top 5. Best players were: Clint Cummins, Toby Sheahan, Gus McKenzie, Wes Bennett, Harry Allen, Duck McDonald

Our Reserves had their 2nd win in a row winning convincingly 102-8. They sit 6th on the ladder and like the seniors only 4 points out of contention.  Award winners were: Ged Dacey, Simon Makur, Sean Bedggood, Ben Shepherd, Aaron Gaut, Ashlin Grant

Our Colts held onto win by 1 point in a heart stopper. Top performers were Thomas Dunn, Austin Stanyer, Jonah Devlin, Max Parsons, Hunter Wells and Cj Mack. Our Colts are currently in 4th position on the ladder.

In the Under14.5’s we won 54-28. We are currently in 5th position on the ladder.  Best Players were Harper Holland, Grace Ayars, Aiden Kennedy, Judson Wells, Jack Hansen, Jonty Worner.

Under 12’s Coach Craige said under sunny and very dewy conditions the Mallee Eagles put up a great effort to fight back after the Saints scored the first few points.  Award Winners- Kingwill-Deacon Wright, DH Shepherd- Tony Fishwisk, P Wells-Hamish Credlin, Gray’s Bakery- Levi Plonsker, JC Bait & Tackle-Know Roberts, Mallee Milk-Angus Bissett, Wells Family-Ruben Croft, Parson Family-Saxon O’Meara

NETBALL
A Grade had a tight tussle in the first quarter and then kicked away to a strong win. 70-55. Best Players to Claire Allen in defence for trying all day against a tall strong goalie and Tayla Anderson
A Res had a tight game winning by 10 goals 43-33. Best Players were our defenders Sarah O’Meara and Laura Fay

B Grade won by 40 goals and are continuing to play some excellent netball.  We are giving some juniors a run which is great for club development. Best Players: Demi Nolan, Anna Bowie.

B Res tried hard all day but were beaten by 20 goals. 

U 18’s game this week had a good win 53-38. Coach Emelia said she was pleased that they were back on the winners list and that the girls are learning to adjust their game as necessary. Best Players:Neveah Roberts, Jordie Watson, Luca Devlin

Under 16’s lost by 14 goals. Coach Jess said that the girls put in a good effort against strong opposition. We had some good passages of play that proved we can match it with the top teams. Best Players: Ma Hansen, Caity McKissack

Under 14’s won a tight game by 3 goals. Coach Deb said the girls had a tough game and only pulled in front in the dying minutes. Best Players: Amy Manuel, Clancy Devlin, Carly Shepherd

Under 12’s are continuing to improve each week against tall strong opposition.  Coach Lauren was pleased with many passages of play. Best Players: MacKenna Wells, Sadie Martin and Jasmine Sutton
