With the advent of new signings Khy Stovell (BOG), Blake Azzopardi, Amos Farrell, Kaylem Hartley and Zac Cockayne and the return of Andy Silva, Moulamein played a game that had to be seen to believe. There indeed were rusty spots, but like a well-oiled machine, eventually, they will be as one a lean, mean Moulamein machine. It was an impressive effort by all, and beholding the recruiting team's knowledge of football and players. Ely Miller did a fabulous job in the ruck allowing the coach a rest for short spells. My brother was so impressed that he gave the canteen ladies some new aprons. In all aspects and given the misty, rainy conditions, a fantastic game by all.

I know the reserves gave a polished performance as they faced the premiers of the last few years. Murrabit reserves were reasonable when I played a few years ago. The quarters I saw were not disgraced. It is never an easy game, and I can see from here that it will be onward and upward with magnificence. Moulamein has a lot of talent in the reserves, some pushing for senior selection, and I am sure some seniors have warm pants.

Long-term seniors derive from the U17.5, and even though we had a couple of imports, most of the talent is homegrown. Some of the skills shown today would rival a senior side. Well, they were done. All the players involved in today's game deserve all the accolades. The lads are well-coached by Paul Alford, who is instilling football smarts into them. A great game to watch as a spectacle, and I am sure many more to come.

I started watching this game as the rain had the same idea. The boys were competitive all day and never gave up, and I am sure the coach was proud of everyone. This is where the talent develops and we have some very good talent in this group. Well done boys keep aspiringto be the best you can be and you will get the results you deserve.

Netball
Under the guidance of Stevie and Sarah Jane, the A grade side has done a fantastic commencement to the start of the season. Defeating last year's premiers in a thrilling tussle with not an inch given by either side. An awesome game to watch, so we saw almost all of the game and were enthralled all the way through. The ball whistled around the court, with Courtney and Ally-Mae playing exceptionally well. You were marvellous to the 3 goal shooters and hardly missed a goal all game. Stevie, around the court, can exceptionally gather in the loose pass or errant lob. This game would have been challenging to judge best and fairest as all players were magnificent. However, we must vote.
Best Players: - BOC Meg Rooney, Courtney Atkins, Ally-Mae Buckley and Jorja Henery
Final Score: - Moulamein 39 v Murrabit 35
Another enthralling encounter Moulamein and Murrabit must enjoy playing each other as the game are extraordinary to watch, and I am sure to play in as well. The girls in this can be proud of what they did today didn't win but didn't give in. Some unique skill sets were shown here and are a joy to watch again as the season progresses. I am confident this side will go a long way in September,
Best Players: - BOC Mandy Champion, Nicole Fitzpatrick, Tenae Walker, Megan Starick
Final Score: - Moulamein 27 v Murrabit 35
A game that saw sawed a few missed opportunities all day, but the girls did give their all. My spies told me that some talent is hidden in this side and, with work, will be vastly superior to other sides. We did enjoy this game as well.
Best Players: - BOC Sharni Prentice, Amy Starick, Margot Isailovic, Felicity McCauley
Final Score: - Moulamein 13 v Murrabit 17
Now this game could almost have rivalled the A grade as the game of the day, a ripper of a game. After being out for a season, the girls from the 14 and under certainly stepped up and delivered in spades. The never give up attitude, the willingness to intercept, and not being afraid to take a bump meant that the girls showed what Moulamein girls are made of and have extraordinary talent. I am going to keep the lid on this side, as they have the potential to do anything this season,
Best Players: - BOC Chloe Wilson, Skye Prentice, Mia Bennett, Maddie Anthony
Final Score: - Moulamein 36 v Murrabit 32
From the desk of the coach as we did not see this game.
The girls made a reasonable effort for the first game of the year—some good passages of play. A few errors cost us goals against a taller and more skilled opposition. Keep up the good work.
Best Players: - BOC Jie Anna Edullantes, Sophie Bennett, Jazman Wroeboys, Olivia Anthony
Final Score: - Moulamein 4 v Murrabit 49
Hot Dog Challenge is back this year.
Hot dogs, maybe pure heaven but today, the hot dog itself was excellent. The roll was flat, so we had to mark the feast today an 8.5
Off to Macorna next week and look forward to some grand victories.
