Football

Under 12

Always a great battle against the Roos and this season they have improved again and this challenge is great for our young tiger cubs.

Our players learnt the lesson for being prepared and after being caught off guard to their fast start, we learnt by maintaining excellent pressure on their players we were able to win some contests and stay in the game. 

Captain Rory Mazzarella had a fantastic game and was supported by Shane Ayars, Hunter McDonald, Rory Phillips and Robe Burney. 

Under 14

This was a solid win from these boys. Our on ballers dominated the centre clearances with Elwood and Shaun combining well together whilst Blake and Jett providing plenty of run. It was a game that all of our boys provided great effort for four quarters. Special mention goes to Seth Morgan who kicked four goals and also to Luca Zucco whose defensive skills helped the team to repell back our way.

Colts

The boys played really good team football in Balranald, with our older players bringing three younger blokes into it. The scoreboard was a bit of a blow out in our favour but the lads showed a lot of humbleness and great sportsmanship. Well done to the Balranald boys for effort all day. Will Rush was best on ground and is starting to show that he can become a good footballer. Well done lads.

Reserves

After a hectic start to the game with lots of pressure being applied the boys finally got on top and recorded a comfortable win against a competitive Balranald side. Otto was again very busy around the ground and the Iannucci boys continued to win the footy and Jason finished with a lazy 7 for the day.

Seniors

Although this wasn’t the best game to watch and the result was not what we wanted, you cannot take away from a Balranald side that came out firing and wanting to win. It was very hot in the centre of the ground and our boys had very sore bodies after this game and the weeks break was very much looked for. Only having a couple of goals on the board at ¾ time was never going to make a coach happy but we finished off the game well kicking 6 in the last to make the end result look better than it could have been.
