Mallee Eagles versus Kerang April 22nd 2023
What a beautiful day for playing sport. Kerang’s ground was looking great but unfortunately they were just far too good for our seniors and our ongoing injuries certainly didn’t do us many favours. We wish Brent a speedy recovery and hope the injuries we received on Saturday to some of our key players do not keep them on the sidelines for too long.
RECRUITING:
We are in desperate need for both Colts and Under 14.5 players. We hate having to forfeit games so please ask anyone you know that may be interested (even if they don’t want to play every week). We have a bus that takes players to training and all associated playing costs will be covered by the club.
SOCIAL EVENTS - FLIGHT NIGHT:
Excitement levels are high in preparation for Saturday 29th of April (after our Swan Hill game). We have our first big function the Progressive Plane held at the clubrooms! Tickets can be purchased from Jess Jobbers or Jorja.
AUSKICK & NET SET GO
Commenced this week. By all reports there was a great turn up and lots of fun to be had.
FUTURE EAGLES: BABY NEWS
Congratulations to Kasey and Tom on the safe arrival of Paddy, Bo Alexander and Stevie-Dee on the arrival of Chuck, Kat and Duck on the arrival of Henley, Meelz and Shotsy on the arrival of little Billy and Maggie and over the off season to Beau and Kaitlyn on little Charlie. The future is looking bright for the Mallee Eagles.
WRAP UP versus KERANG
Netball: We always enjoy playing Kerang and have good friendly rivalry. We won 6 of our 8 matches and our netballers are all training well with good numbers across all grades. With 7 players missing from our usual line up -A and A Res looked very different but it was great getting ex Lalbert players having a run with us again. Thanks to Kyra Batten, Amy Jobling and Claire Allen, all the junior players who played up for us and to all the girls who played 6 quarters on such a hot day. A great team effort.
