Today we head into town to take on Swan Hill in what will hopefully be a competitive day for all of our teams.
Last week we hosted Kerang at Tooleybuc in wet conditions with the seniors battling hard in the tricky conditions. Best Players – Blake Grant, Ethan Goldfinch, David Kennedy, Mitch Grant, Luke Walsh & Ryan Domaille.
The ressies managed to find enough players without having to call on to many colts lads but still found it hard going against a strong Kerang side. Best Players – Sam Morton, Adam Hoare, Harper McNicol, Tom Matarazzo, Ben Doolan & Keagan Grant.
The colts had a tough start to the season but to their credit managed to hit the scoreboard each quarter & battled hard all game. Best Players – Jordan Caddy, Will Domaille, Lex Wilson, Brayden Caddy, Kal Hazlett & Julian Muir.
The U14’s put in one of the best performances for the day and showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with for the remainder of the season. Best Players – Campbell Fisher, Callum Muir, Rydar Morris, Julian Muir, Connor Hazlett & Zach Lehner.
The U12’s game was a very entertaining contest involving a lot of end to end football with everyone putting in a great effort. 
Netball Notes:
A Grade - Our new look, youthful A Grade side showed that they have great potential and this will be a season of growth for our senior side. Taylah Morris and Olivia Fowler combined well in defence and Jayda and Amy found great space and drive through the midcourt. Final Score: 22 – 70. Award: Jayda Plant (Aspire Jewellers).
A Reserve - Went down in a close game against Kerang. With a combination of both new and familiar faces the team showed great potential for the season ahead. Final Score: 33-38. Awards: Leonie Kentish (Aspire Jewellers) & Marie Field (TMFNC)
B grade - Fought hard against Kerang but they were too strong on the day. It will be exciting to see the team grow throughout the season. Special thanks to the girls that filled in for us. Final Score: 33 – 49. Awards: Rach Hoare (Beauty Spot) & Morgan Tacken (TMFNC). 
B Reserve - The girls put up a good fight against Kerang, unfortunately going down! It was a great effort by all and despite being a wet & cold day, 3 fill ins, and 2 girls who had never played before, by the end of the game everyone had shown improvement within themselves and working as a team! Looking forward for the rest of the year! Final Score: 14 – 52. Awards: Erika Zanker & Sarah Gilbee.
Under 18’s: A great season start for the girls with a convincing win against Kerang. A real team effort with every player applying pressure which provided plenty of opportunities in attack. Final Score: 59 – 18 Awards: Jorja Algie & Jorja Plant.
Under 16’s - Put up a strong fight against the reigning premiers in a close game but missed the four points. Everyone played really well and worked together as a team. Great effort by every player on the court with strong defensive pressure. Final Score: 45 – 52 Awards: Trinity Corbett (TMFNC) & Ally Grace (@41).
14 & Under: I hope everyone is so happy and proud of themselves. Was a great start to the season. All the girls really played so well, fantastic. Have to say the first quarter was the absolute best. Final Score: 31 – 10 Awards: Trinity Funnell & Felicity Matarazzo.
12 & Under - Our youngest netballers had a great start to the year showing we have the potential to continue to improve. Our top age girls showed great leadership and the rest of the girls slotted in to combine well to get a good win. Final Score: 20 – 5. Awards: Tayce Fisher (TMFNC), Daisy Morris (Pizzahood) & Rubie Furniss (face mask).
REMINDER: Big Draw 2023 will be held after our next home game at Tooleybuc on the 6th May & tickets are now available from Hoota or Rach Hoare.
