Mallee Eagles vesus Lake Boga April 15th 2023

WELCOME BACK
Our day versus Lake Boga was wet- not so great for football or netball but great for our Mallee Farmers about to start cropping. Our ground was in superb condition and we now have brand new netball courts. A huge thanks goes to the tribe of workers who erected the netball spectator sheds on Friday night and to all our volunteers who assisted in making our first home game run so smoothly.
We welcomed many new players to our club who I will name next week. We also thank our sponsors INARI, ELDERS, BRAD KINGWILL, NORTH WEST AG, MUDBUSTERS CLEANING SERVICES, ACCESS GRAIN, ROOF POWER, SH CLUB, HM Limited and JC‘s BAIT & TACKLE. We hope you have a great involvement with our club.

GROUND VOLUNTEERS
Every club has so many people that put up their hand to do a bit extra and out at Lalbert this is definitely the case as we have to manage and finance our own grounds without any shire assistance. This takes a mountain of work from people mowing, marking lines, watering and keeping the facilities clean and tidy. Thankyou to all who have done their bit.

It is with a heavy heart that we said our farewell to Peter who passed away in hospital in very sudden circumstances. We send our sympathy to Jo, Kate, Samantha and Rebecca, to Len and Frances, Anthony, Jackie and families and the extended family. A good man gone too soon.

SOCIAL EVENTS
We had our ‘Welcome Night’ at the clubrooms after the seniors match, with kids’ face painting done by Jade Barr, a Roaming Brian segment for our new and returning players and live music by Chloe Calleja which was great. It was awesome to see plenty of familiar faces all returning for the 2023 season and we welcome all new players and families joining the Mallee Eagles nest. 
Following the Kerang game, we encourage everyone to head to Mystic Park Pub for dinner. Excitement levels are high in preparation for Saturday 29th of April against Swan Hill, as we have our first big function the Progressive Plane held at the clubrooms! Tickets can be purchased from Jess or Jorja. Good luck to all teams!
