Welcome Eagles supporters to season 2023!

We have new faces, old faces, but most importantly smiling faces just wanting to play and watch footy and netty once again.

A lot of work has been undertaken in the off season:
Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Working Bee back on the 19th March, you all spruced the Rec Reserve up a treat.

The oval looks fantastic - you know who to thank for that, yes, Col Shep and Lizard have worked wonders once again with some help from Drew and line marking specialist Ben. 

The Ladies changerooms have had some serious shower / bathroom renovations - thanks to Shep's Building with special mention to Darren Ash for the use of some specialist machinery. 

We have new netball courts, and although the landscaping / shelters are not completely finished, they will be a big improvement. 

We have a new Club web site - malleeeagles.com.au - check it out. A huge thank you to Jess Jobling for the time and effort she has put in. (Jess assures us she does know our song).

Jorja and Jess have done a lot of work putting together a social calendar of events, so there will always be something to plan for throughout the season.

On top of all this there has been some recruiting going on. While some players have moved on, we have just as many coming onboard and are looking to give those finals a shake across several teams once again.

After the games stay for a meal and beverage and meet some of our new recruits - both football and netball players - with our own version of Roaming Brian introducing them to the Eagles faithful. 

The weather is looking suspect for sport, but it is the same for all players on both teams so have fun out there. Off the field supporters can enjoy all the food and drinks Maree and Katrina have in the Canteen . . .  a final thought, is there anything better than the sight of a smiling farmer? We might just see some if the weather forecasters are right!
