Round 1 – Kerang Football Netball Club

Another tough preseason over and finally we welcome Season 2023. The boys have worked hard over the off season and are fit and ready to go. After saluting last year, Coatesy and his offsiders have the boys primed for another tilt at the big prize. Assistant coaches this year are Michael Dalrymple and Jesse Clark. 

We are pleased to welcome some new blood to the Blues – Nick Lang joins the club from Kangaroo Flat. ‘Langy’ is an extensive experienced ruckman and has fitted in well, impressing at training and in the practice matches. Adam Hunter re-joins the club after a season back home at Newstead, welcome back mate. We also welcome a couple of Quamby boys in Gregor Knight and Luke Parker who are great additions to the team. We again look forward to the further development of our crop of youngsters including a number up from the Colts who will push seriously for selection in the senior team.

The Reserves are once more in the very capable hands of Jon Roberts and Lefty Wright and are tracking along very nicely.

Onto our Juniors and our Under 17.5’s have the expertise of Marty Kelly and Scott Bremner to guide them through this season. Their enthusiasm and vast knowledge of the game will be passed onto welcoming players. The Under 14.5’s are lucky enough to have Alex Lloyd return this season with the vision of developing their skills and game play to get them one step closer to the final series. Kerang’s Under 12’s is in excellent hands this year with Paul Grayling. Graylz brings a mass of knowledge and experience from his playing and prior coaching positions to expand the development of our youngest junior players. Mat Coates will be our Auskick Co-ordinator this season. Mat has a wealth of knowledge from his playing career to pass on to our up-and-coming stars. Registrations can be completed online through the Auskick website and by selecting Kerang as your club.

Kerang is extremely excited about the netball season ahead and we have been working extremely hard over the pre-season getting everything ready and look forward to a season of success both on and off the court.

We are lucky enough to have Chloe Adams as our head coach and A grade player and we have recruited some exceptionally talented players for our A grade side. Kerang is excited to be fielding all netball sides this year with amazing and dedicated new and returning players. All our coaches are invested and extremely dedicated to being successful and developing each and every player. 

We are currently running a major raffle with a 65-inch TV amongst other great prizes. If you would like a ticket to support us, please contact Kirstyn Waddingham. The funds raised are going towards beautifying the areas around our netball courts.

On the road to Tooleybuc-Manangatang to open proceedings, a tough assignment first up. Let’s see everyone get off to a good start and then enjoy a catch up back at The Royal Hotel after the game.
