Seniors:

We trekked to Moulamein this week, we knew it would be a hard hit out. Our boys started strong but it was close to half time, a see saw affair and not much in it in the last halve. We had a chances in the final minutes but couldn’t convert. Jayden Stiles kicked 4 for the day and Budge kept them busy. Malcolm and Poncho linking up well and giving our boys every chance. Beaty giving his all and providing plenty of hard running from the youngster. But in the end, Moulamein prevailed.

Goal kickers: J. Stiles (4), C. Wilson (2), M. Neiwand (1) L. Ritchie (1)

Awards:

Best on ground: Malcolm Neiwand

2nd best: Jacob McIntosh

3rd best: Kansas Varker

Netball:

U12 - We cannot emphasise how excited we are as coaches to watch the improvement all of our team has made. “Our A Graders would be impressed” was one comment heard as we passed the ball from defence to attack yesterday. How cool is that? Amaya’s strong shoulder passing earned her the Mel Wishart award while Abbey (Waffles Award) kept working hard in defence: determined and always learning.

U14 - This week we come against Moulamein and came home with the four points. We were down a couple of players this week and a special mention to Maddy Black for helping us out. Moulamein put up a physical battle and we are proud of all the our girls who held their heads high and played well as a team. Award winners this week Kiera Gillingham and Kendall. Awesome effort girls, we have another tough battle this week against Nully.

U17 – no game

B res - Coming up against Moula the girls new it was going to be another tough game, but we proved too good on the day winning our first 4 points. Our attacking end moved the ball well and made great use of the circle edge. Our defenders never game up and their hands over defensive pressure was too good for Moula. Jodie came away with BOC for her strong performance in the mid court. Mandy held and moved well in goals, scoring 25 of our 36 goals, which gave her the exchange award.

B grade - Again the game started close for B grade but we just tapered off. Moula had two very clever goalies and a wonderful GK and they just got the better of us. We are moving the ball consistently well and working hard in defence, we just can’t seem to hit scoreboard well enough…. Yet. Patience Tiges. Awards: Holly and Leeza.

A grade - Perfect conditions for netball on Saturday saw our A grade record a win for the ages against Moulamein. Was wonderful to see our team working together so brilliantly in what has been a great month for us. Sickness and not having our full side hasn’t wavered us and things are really starting to get exciting. Awards: Em Wishy and Emmy.
