Un 14.5

Great day for football! A frosty start but the boys came out firing. As a team the boys played a running game pushing the ball from back to forward. The backline was strengthened when Jaxon and Mason changed positions and defended well. Hayden into the ruck saw more clearances our way and up forward Will, Taylor and Cooper found avenues to goals. Well done boys!
Goal kickers: W. Meharry (3), C. Carmichael (2), T. Lacy (2), W. Longstaff (1) Bests: W. Meharry, R. Webb & C. Carmichael

Seconds:

Our long journey to Hay saw some impressive footy. Sharing the ball around for a good win and great team game. Our backline was strong, it was hard to pick the best because they all played so well. Carrots, Kally Mc, Laffo and Jacko stood out. We had better mention Pluggas goal from full back as he just thought he would go for a run. Up and about, go tiges!!
Goal kickers: J. Gillam (4), S. Haffenden (4), P. Longstaff (3), D. Haimes (3), P. Wishart (2), J. Hutton (2), P. Lacy (2), A. Laffan (1), A. Pearson (1), R. Dee (1), S. Wishart (1), H. Somerville (1), S. Griffith (1)
Bests: J. Hutton, A. Laffan & Kally McDougal

Seniors:

The boys took a while to get their mojo on Saturday, but slogged it out for a win. Hay were competitive all day and matched us in many areas. Budge was best on with Toby a close second, Harley was fantastic getting called up to take on the heavy ruck work. Haff and Stiz were good in front of goals with 9 between them. Let’s get our best footy going to finish off the year!
Goals kickers: Ja. Stiles (6), T. Parker (3), S. Haffenden (3), J. Walters (3), F. Bear (2), C. Wilson (1)
Bests: C. Wilson. T. Whinfield, H. Somerville

U12 - Our 1st game against Hay was a comprehensive loss & so our drawn match second time round showed how well the team is gelling and the vast improvement in skill. Super!!Cienna won Tiff’s award for tireless attacking and goaling. Makenna had a day out; reading the play and intercepting passes with ease

U14 - This week we travelled to Hay, it was physical gameand all the girls did a great job, but unfortunately we went down by the smallest of margins 1 goal. Next week we take on Murrabit and it is a must win to kick off our finals campaign. Best on court - Miley Anset, 2nd BOC - MiekeLove

U17 – With finals hopes within our reach we made sure we didn’t leave anything behind. Hay showed us they also wanted the win and put up some beautiful shots at goal. Madi and Tahlia were up against some strong defenders but proved that they have what it takes to remain calm in the ring. Sham was dynamite in the C with Gracie and Miley feeding well. Rosie and Hannalee worked well with Eb and Ang in defence providing some great passages down the court. Awards this week went to Madi Black for her control in the ring and Ang Warren for her on-going defence work.

Bres - With only 3 games to go, we were keen to get another win on the board. With a great start to the day, saw us only down by 1 going into the 2nd quarter. But this quickly changed as Hay dominated the 2nd making it tough for the rest of the game to get back to within reach. Going down by quite a bit in the end, we never gave up and kept pushing Hay till the end. Kylie who dominated in defence won our club award. Haylee (exchange) moved beautiful in goals, putting into play what we have practising at training, which was great to see.

B grade – We travelled to Hay in hopes of a win and we certainly got it! It was a team effort and all-round great game to watch. We had some beautiful channels up and down the court and the shooters were on fire. Leeza and Leah again were unreal through that midcourt providing the shooters some amazing feeds. Awards – Sherri and Leeza

A grade – The A graders got the job done against Hay to claim their fifth consecutive win and snatch 3rd spot on the ladder. The 52-31 win, on the back of an historic victory over Nullylast round, sets Tiff Bartram’ side up well for the last two matches of the home and away season against Murrabit and Quamby. Best on was rising star Ebony Black who played a full match at keeper and shooter Emmy Simpson was the other award winner.
