Football
Today we travel to Quambatook to avenge what they did to us the last time we played them. Quambatook was fast and furious at the ball, and we just let them take it away. However, today Moulamein will play a football brand that Quambatook has never seen. High marking, long kicking, accurate goal shooting and overall present Quambatook with a challenge they cannot match. Moulamein of 2022 is a team that can do wonderfully well if we all play as one. We welcome the inclusion of Anthony Daw as a Ruckman to assist the coach who was carrying a broad load; this will allow Heath to be more mobile and more dangerous around the ground, which he currently does a lot of anyway. Moulamein is getting ready for the finals, so a victory today will see us move to equal second on the ladder; something a few months ago seemed almost impossible. We will have an entire squad to select from, so we should be getting close to fielding the best available side, which spells danger for the other sides. I expect Moulamein to win this encounter by 36 points.
Last week we lost Allen Cantwell on Tuesday 21st June, at 86. Alan was a big part of getting the Moulamein Football club going again in 1954, was best and fairest in 1954 and played in Moulameins 1st ever premiership side in 1955, vale Alan Cantwell.
We played Murrabit two weeks ago, and I have not seen a better game this year. It had all the highlights that any AFL game can have, so much so that I forgot to go to netball sometimes. Whilst all the results did not go our way, all the games I saw were special.

Moulamein 12 – 8 – 80 v Murrabit 9 – 11 - 65
Moulamein fielded a reserve side stacked with talent but failed to play as a team. We are better than this, and we know this team can be magnificent in the final series. How does one continue to say to the players to kick the ball down the ground, not sideways down the ground, and you will find that scoring is straightforward?
I believe that this week against Quambatook, the Moulamein reserves side should win by 120 points keeping the finals hopes alive; it is up to you players, as Travis can only do so much. Last week against Murrabit, we weren't really flash, and we need to commit to the purpose.
Moulamein 7 – 5 – 47 v Murrabit 18 – 13 – 121
Goal Kickers: 38 Jade Ewart, 81 Jason Manning, 41 Thomas Scandolera 2, 20 Jacob Lucas 1
BOG: Jason Manning, James Moroney, Ryan Atkins, Dawson Prange, Jacob Skipsey, Elijah Prentice
As Quambatook do not field under 17.5, this will be a forfeit to Moulamein, and I don't know how the league calculates the results, but at least we get the four points for the win, plus percentage.
Last week we played Murrabit and whilst the game was fabulous the result did not go our way. The break may allow us to recoup and come out and play as Moulamein plays. Keep your chin up, boys; you're doing well. One does wonder how one week you kick 7 next week you kick 6 and still not in the best players.
Moulamein 8 – 4 – 52 v Murrabit 13 – 11 – 89
Goal Kickers: 12 Lochlan Prentice 6, 26 Lenny Ivers, 5 Caleb Scandolera 1
BOG: Rhys Wilson, Ethan Miller, Lachie Martin, Dawson Prange, Caleb Scandolera, Jacob Skipsey
I don't believe Quambatook field under 14.5 team; therefore, we get the four points and the percentage.
Last week we took on Murrabit, a difficult task under any circumstance; however, the boys tried all day and never gave up. These lads are a credit to the Moulamein Football Netball club.
Moulamein 2 – 0 – 12 v Murrabit 20 – 11 – 131

Netball
Today we take on Quambatook; although they are a couple of spots above us on the ladder, Moulamein is always up to a challenge, and today will prove no exception. We may be a bit short on the goal shooting as the coach damaged her ankle against Murrabit, but hopefully, she'll be fit enough to return. This week, Moulamein pulls off a magnificent victory, and I expect Moulamein to win by eight goals.

I have just checked the ladder, and guess what Moulamein and Quambatook are both equal on points until Moulamein delivers a resounding victory by 23 points. I don't know what happened last week, but the wheel just fell off the Rolls-Royce, given that this is a great side and will go far.

Just like to B grade, the B reserve grade and Quambatook both have equal points until today, this is a great Moulamein side, and we play an excellent brand of netball, and today we will win by 38 points.
Last week we were no match for Murrabit, but they sit atop the ladder and deservingly so.

Moulamein proved their dominance against Murrabit, and I expect this will continue against Quambatook; assuming that Quambatook fields aside, I am unsure.
Last Week
Score: Moulamein 32 defeated Murrabit 27
BOC: Mia Bennett, Skye Prentice, Maddie Anthony, Summer Starr, Chloe Wilson
The coach said: that Moulamein continued to dominate in their rematch against Murrabit. Strong partnerships in the circles made for some thrilling plays. The girls continued to work on moving down the court as a team and showed great examples of this.

Hot Dog
We have a new Leader in the challenge Moulamein presented a real Hot Dog with a crisp bun and sauce, which was fabulous today, a 9.7.
Moulamein – 9.7, Nullawil – 9.6, Moulamein – 9.6, Hay – 9.3. Ultima – 8.8, Murrabit – 8.8, Wandella 6.6 exciting times ahead in the Hot Dog challenge. Wonder what Quambatook will present; last time, it was fabulous.
One cannot leave this page without saying the commodity auction was an outstanding success, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the night and for all the helpers who set up the night and were the presenters. Many thanks to the auctioneers from BR&C; they did a superb job, and sometimes it must be tough to do the job without the microphone.
The two-course meal was sensational.
