Welcome to season 2022. We can only hope we can get through to the finals without any problems. The Committee has been busy in the off-season making plans for the season. We welcome Jack Danckert and Michael Rowe to the Committee. These two will be looking after the social events and would welcome any help. Thanks to Nic Treacy and her enthusiastic ladies who have committed to running the canteen and providing meals. Get on board with the canteen committee, everybody is welcome, and it can be great fun! 

Logan Keighran will be leading our seniors this year and we are thrilled to have him on board as senior coach. The boys have been training hard and recruiting well. Please make yourselves known to all new players and make them feel part of the Bomber family. Rowie is again leading the reserves and we wish him all the best. Shannon Burton is returning from a playing and coaching role in Darwin to coach the thirds and the fourths are once again in the capable hands of Chum. The club appreciates all of these guys putting up their hands to lead. Auskick will be run again by Rowie, Russ Waddy, Higgsy and Laine. Further info about start dates will be available soon.

The little Bombers will be catered for too with a game on Saturdays. Please make an effort to support Chum who gives his time, and get the kids there by 9am for a run around.

We look forward to bringing you some player and member profiles in the record this year so we can get to know a bit more about our fellow Bombers. The social calendar is finalized so watch out on our socials for upcoming events. Please remember to support our wonderful, generous sponsors. Finally please remember how many people it takes to get a footy or netball match going every week and put your hand up to help. The team managers do a great job and it would be nice if they didn’t have to chase people each week. Have a great season Bombers!

NETBALL

Welcome to season 2022. It is fantastic to see so many faces of both new and returning players getting into the swing of Netball season after such a long break since the last game in July last year.

Wandella have worked hard in the off season to recruit some skilled, enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaches to lead our squad into a strong 2022 season.

We welcome Hayley Hird as our A grade coach. Hayley is new to the club, but comes with a positive direction for a young but very talented A grade side.

Ola Nimo will lead our B Grade side for this season. Ola is keen to see what a talented bunch of players can achieve after a strong preseason.

Meagan Taylor is going solo this year taking on our B Reserve side. We have a lot of returning players after taking time off, so very promising to see where Meagan’s knowledge can lead this team.
Tania Spencer has again taken on the future of our club in our under 14s side. Tania’s drive and passion for teaching the skills of the game is invaluable and it will be exciting to see how far they can come.

Elly Spencer and Eleesha Colville will again lead our under 12 squad into a fun and enjoyable season and they learn the basics of the game and develop into our future stars of the club.
