Seniors
The feeling in the rooms before the game was abuzz with excitement and the lads ran out meaning business. The first quarter was expected to be fierce and didn’t disappoint; unfortunately we were on the back foot early and Cohuna had the best of the scoreboard. About ½ way through the boys steadied a bit, but were still behind at quarter time with the Kangas up and about. Things turned around in the second quarter with the matchups working and everyone stepping up. An eight goal term saw the Blues 9 points in front at half time. In a remarkable turn around, the Kangas were kept goalless in the second half, with another 9 Blues majors resulting in a fantastic 79 point win to stay atop the ladder.
Another test today with Balranald making the long trip to Riverside Park. Best players Brad Pay, Troy Davis, Marty Kelly, Michael Dalrymple, Rylee Smith and Josh Nitschke.
Reserves
Well, what a solid game from the Magoos. BOG was easily Cody Tuohey who hasn’t had a bad game all year; excellent commitment mate, keep it up; BK Publishing award to you. Jotham Higgs took home the McKnight Concreting award, another bloke whose efforts don’t go unnoticed, he just keeps keeping on. Logan “Foxy” Tuohey gets the Andy Gray Plumbing award, he ran his legs off on his wing. Joshy Free pockets the Queens Arms Hotel voucher for his pressure efforts all day; he should have kicked a couple of sausage rolls but it’ll come , keep getting to training young fella. Joint coaches awards Harry Saunders and Jonah McKnight whose lively games up forward actually won the game for us.
Colts
Last week we travelled to Cohuna with an undermanned side with injuries to key players. Cohuna came out strong running in numbers, which we couldn’t match. To their credit the Kangas were the better team and ran out winners.

It was brilliant to see such wonderful sportsmanship in several of our boys playing for the Cohuna side so that both teams could still play the great game of footy. Our boys came home victorious 61 – 0, with the mercy rule coming into play in the second quarter.
Under 12s
Again their endeavour is second to none, also the little 1% are really starting to show in the way they shepherd and the way they run and handball. You can really start to see it all coming together for them.
Great job, GO BLUES!
