Last week we travelled to Lake Boga to enjoy their hospitality. That was about as much as we enjoyed of the day, with a tough day on both the football ground and netball courts against some very good Lake Boga teams.

This week we host Tyntynder and we will be looking forward to better results across all grades.

FOOTBALL RESULTS

Seniors:
NNWU 7.8.50 defeated by Lake Boga 13.9.87
While the scoreboard shows us being on the losing side of the contest, the seniors were very competitive for the whole of the game, playing some very good football. Unfortunately, we didn’t make the most of our opportunities to put more pressure on the opposition.

Reserves:
NNWU 4.5.29 defeated by Lake Boga 15.7.97
After many phone calls recruiting players, the Reserves took the field against a very strong Boga team. While they didn’t win, the side played some good footy to show that if they can stick together and get a full side on the ground, a win is not far away.

Colts:
NNWU 3.6.24 defeated by Lake Boga 9.6.60
Up against the ladder leaders, the Colts put in a very strong effort with the assistance of a few recruits for the day.

Under 14.5:
NNWU 5.3.33 defeated by Lake Boga 17.10.112
The Under 14.5’s played some very good football with the assistance of the Benfield brothers. Despite their efforts, the team was unable to hold out the young Magpies, who played better football and were able to work together well to score a good win.

In the first game of the day, the Under 12s had a great game. It’s great to see their improvement each week as they play more games.
